Head teacher welcome for The Woodlands and Small Provisions

Hello, and welcome to The Woodlands! As Head Teacher, I’m proud to introduce you to our school, where we provide a nurturing and supportive environment tailored to the unique needs of our pupils. The Woodlands and the Small Provisions includes 26 acres of woodlands and fishing lakes and at another site are our two school narrowboats where 1:1 personalised learning experiences for children who require a different approach to education, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported.

We believe in the power of outdoor learning, adventure, and hands-on experiences. Our small, close-knit setting allows us to focus on the individual, offering both short-term interventions and longer-term support depending on each child’s needs. Our goal is to help our pupils build confidence, develop resilience, and acquire the skills they need to transition successfully back into mainstream education or continue thriving with us.

We place a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with regular opportunities for pupils to engage with nature and develop practical life skills in a stimulating, outdoor environment. This approach not only supports academic growth but also encourages personal development, well-being, and teamwork.
