Head teacher’s welcome, The Old Library

Hello, and a warm welcome to The Old Library. I’m delighted to introduce myself as the new head teacher, having joined this academic year. With experience from working in an independent SEMH school in Manchester, I bring with me a deep commitment to supporting pupils’ individual needs and fostering an environment where everyone can succeed.

At The Old Library, we are passionate about creating a positive and inclusive space for all of our pupils. Our school is dedicated to helping students develop both academically and personally, with a strong focus on emotional well-being, resilience, and creativity. We recognise that every child is unique, and we are committed to providing the right level of support and encouragement to help them reach their full potential.

As someone with a special interest in music, I am especially excited to bring the benefits of musical education to our pupils. Music has the power to inspire confidence, develop social skills, and provide a creative outlet, and I look forward to incorporating it into our learning experience. We believe in offering a broad and balanced curriculum that engages our pupils and equips them with the skills they need for life beyond school.
